Directors and Officers
While the relationship between employees and a company is regulated by labor laws, the relationship between directors and officers and a company are also regulated by the Companies Act. However, directors sometimes may be deemed to be “defacto” employees and therefore, both of the labor laws and the Companies Act need to be considered, especially when a contract is terminated.
