North/Latin America

Atsumi & Sakai's North America/Latin America practice group includes Registered Foreign Lawyers whose jurisdictions of primary qualification include the laws of the State of New York or California, and Japanese lawyers with extensive experience in handling foreign cases, including some who are admitted to practice law in the United States.

Our North America/Latin America practice group utilizes the extensive network we have developed over the years for projects in Brazil and other Latin American countries, as well as the United States, collaborating with local law firms and other experts. We have a strong track record of supporting clients in a wide range of fields, including cross-border M&A, finance, stock listing, fund formation, relations with regulatory authorities, intellectual property rights, dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration, labor management, contracts, and local business expansion support.

We established our New York Affiliate Office (Atsumi & Sakai New York LLP) in 2020 as a new base of operations for our services in North America and Latin America. Our North America/Latin America practice is centered on the New York Affiliate Office, which works together with our other locations to provide enhanced legal services for both outbound and inbound activities, to support our clients and contribute to their business success.
