Maritime and Shipping Contracts and Logistics

We provide advice on various maritime and logistics-related contracts, including bills of lading, contracts of carriage, charterparties, ship sale and purchase contracts, shipbuilding contracts, and ship management contracts, based on actual practice, as well as practical advice on how to handle disputes arising from such contracts.

With some registered foreign attorneys qualified in the UK and US, among other countries, A&S can also provide advice on English-language contracts. Based on our experience in handling disputes related to various contracts, we are able to provide detailed advice tailored for the client's position.

In addition, we have provided advice and support for a wide range of matters, from LNG procurement contracts (both long-term and spot contracts) to more recent trends such as transportation contracts related to LNG procurement and the drafting of Japan's first purchase and sale contract scheme for LNG as a marine fuel.
