Regarding Certain Media Reports on the Third-Party Committee of Fuji Media Holdings, Inc. and Fuji Television Network, Inc.

Our firm has not been involved in any way in the preparation of the investigation report prepared by the third-party committee regarding Fuji Media Holdings, Inc. and Fuji Television Network, Inc.

On July 5, 2025, attorneys representing Mr. Masahiro Nakai sent a request to the third-party committee (chaired by Mr. Akira Takeuchi) (the "Third-Party Committee"), commissioned by Fuji Media Holdings, Inc. and Fuji Television Network, Inc. and published it on the internet under the title "Request for Explanation from Your Committee (3)" (the "Request for Explanation"). Using the abbreviation "A&S", the Request for Explanation indicates that our firm was involved as a third party in the investigation report dated March 31, 2025 prepared by the Third Party Committee (the "Investigation Report") and was disclosed or shared with us prior to its release.

Our firm was not involved in the preparation of the Investigation Report nor was it disclosed or shared with us prior to its release. A follow-up internal investigation of our Firm's attorneys revealed no involvement of our firm. In addition, Ms. Saori Hanada, an attorney with our Firm and a director of Fuji Media Holdings, Inc. and Fuji Television Network, Inc., also was not involved in the preparation of the Investigation Report and did not receive disclosure of its contents prior to its release.

The document entitled "Request for Explanation" states that the abbreviation "A&S" appeared in the Investigation Report and alleges that the Third-Party Committee concealed the traces of "A&S" from the Investigation Report. We have no knowledge of this claim. While there are some cases where we use the abbreviation "A&S" (the initials of our founding partners) in our publications, the Investigation Report was prepared without any involvement of our firm, and even though Mr. Nakai’s attorneys claim that "A&S" was recorded in a tag in the data file of the Investigation Report, we were not involved in the investigation in any way.

There are no facts to suggest that our firm was involved in the preparation of the Investigation Report or that it was disclosed or shared with us. We, therefore, ask that you not make any comments in the media, press or on the Internet, etc., based on such erroneous perceptions.
