Former Prosecutor General Kotaro Ohno joins A&S as an advisor

Former prosecutor general Kotaro Ohno (Bengoshi (Japanese attorney)) joined A&S as an advisor on January 1, 2023.

 

Mr. Ohno began his career as a public prosecutor in 1976 and went on to serve for some 20 years in each of the Public Prosecutors Office and the Ministry of Justice. At the Ministry of Justice, he served as the Director-General of the Criminal Affairs Bureau and the Vice Minister of Justice; at the Public Prosecutors Office he held positions including the Superintending Prosecutor of the Tokyo High Public Prosecutors Office, and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office.

 

Mr. Ohno retired as Prosecutor General in September 2016 and registered as a lawyer in November of the same year; he has since remained active on multiple fronts including serving as an external board member of major corporations and an officer of a public interest corporation and other organizations.
