Atsumi & Sakai has entered into an advisory agreement under which the firm is allowed to receive advice from Mr. Nobuchika Mori, the former Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency.

As of September of this year, Atsumi & Sakai has entered into an advisory agreement under which the firm is allowed to receive advice from Mr. Nobuchika Mori, the former Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency.

Mr. Mori joined the Ministry of Finance in 1980 and successively held important positions, including such positions as Vice Commissioner for Policy Coordination of the Planning and Coordination Bureau, Director-General of the Inspection Bureau and Director-General of the Supervisory Bureau of the Financial Services Agency. In July 2015, he was appointed Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency, where, for three years until his retirement in July this year, he played a central role in Japanese financial administration, actively working for organizational reform of the Financial Services Agency and adopting a number of new policies.

Finance is one of Atsumi & Sakai’s areas of expertise, and, with Mr. Mori’s insight, based on his thorough knowledge of financial administration and markets, our firm now has access to advice from an even broader perspective than before.
