"Economic Security Promotion Act and Cyber Security":Takashi Tezuka (Partner) and Fumiaki Matsuoka (Partner)

Takashi Tezuka, Partner, and Fumiaki Matsuoka, Partner, presented a seminar entitled "Economic Security Promotion Act and Cyber Security," on February 6, 2023, hosted by the Second Association of Regional Banks.

Based on an overview of the Economic Security Promotion Act for general managers in charge of IT systems at each of the Association's member banks, an explanation of specific preparations for reducing the risk of cyber-attacks was given, assuming actual attacks and responses, from the perspective of court precedents regarding internal control systems under the Companies Act, rules stipulated by the Personal Information Protection Act and contractual practices, etc.
