Statement regarding the recent Tohoku earthquake.

Dear Friends & Clients,

First and foremost, for those of you in Japan we hope that you and your families and colleagues are all safe and sound. We send our deepest condolences to the many people who lost so much, so quickly, to the tragic events of Friday March 11.

We appreciate the concern for our safety and the messages of sympathy from overseas and other areas of Japan. We are pleased to report that at this stage there are no reported cases of injury to any of our staff or their families, and that our office has not suffered any serious damage. It appears that we have been fortunate enough to escape the earthquake’s worst effects with minimal impact.

We are currently operating on normal business hours, and whilst the rolling blackouts in Tokyo are not directly impacting our office, there are still disruptions to public transport and telephone communications which may affect our ability to handle your matters in a timely way. If there are matters we are currently working on for you which require urgent attention, or there is any other way that we can assist on any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. The contact details of all our attorneys are listed on this website.
