Experienced Lawyer - Finance

Leading Tokyo law firm Atsumi & Sakai is looking to recruit an experienced finance associate qualified in Australia, New Zealand or England to work in its award-winning cross-border finance practice. The successful candidate will work with the Firm’s team of highly-regarded finance partners on an increasing volume of English-language domestic and cross-border loan, asset & project finance, and securitisation documentation, assisting with both drafting and negotiation, and will gain significant exposure to the Japanese lending and capital markets.

 

 

Eligibility
  • 2-4 years experience from a reputable finance practice
  • Significant exposure to frontline drafting and negotiating of finance documentation
  • Qualified in Australia, New Zealand or England*
  • A native English-speaker
  • Willing to commit to working in Japan for at least 2 years

 

Japanese language skills are not required, though a genuine interest in working in Japan would be a definite plus. The Firm would happy to consider taking a suitable lawyer on secondment from a reputable finance practice.

Salary and other compensation

Work location The successful applicant will work at Atsumi & Sakai’s office in central Tokyo.
